GigaDevice Aligns Reporting with China Accounting Standards; KPMG Hong Kong Steps Down as Overseas Auditor

Bulletin Express
Jul 21

GigaDevice Semiconductor Inc. (GigaDevice) will adopt China Accounting Standards for Business Enterprises (CASBE) for all financial statements starting with its interim results for the six months ending 30 June 2026. The Board approved the change on 21 July 2026, citing substantial convergence between CASBE and IFRS Accounting Standards and a need to streamline disclosure across domestic and Hong Kong markets.

The Audit Committee concluded that the unified use of CASBE will enhance efficiency without materially affecting the company’s financial position, operating results or the reliability of its disclosures. Consequently, GigaDevice will cease preparing financial statements under IFRS Accounting Standards.

In tandem with the accounting shift, GigaDevice’s overseas auditor, KPMG Hong Kong, has resigned effective 21 July 2026. The firm confirmed it has no disagreements with the company and no matters requiring shareholder attention. Following this resignation, KPMG Huazhen LLP, already appointed as the domestic auditor, will act as the sole auditor for the 2026 fiscal year under CASBE.

The board composition remains unchanged, with Chairman and Executive Director Mr. Zhu Yiming leading the company alongside two other executive directors, one non-executive director and five independent non-executive directors.
