Want Want China Announces Additional Share Buybacks; 2.58 Million Shares Acquired on 8 October, Total Pending Cancellation Rises to 19.43 Million

Want Want China Holdings Limited disclosed that it repurchased 2.58 million ordinary shares on 8 October 2026 via on-market transactions at prices between HK$2.725 and HK$2.755 per share, spending HK$7.06 million. The shares are intended for cancellation.

Including this latest transaction, repurchases executed between 25 September and 8 October 2026 but not yet cancelled now total 19.43 million shares—equivalent to approximately 0.17% of the company’s 11.67 billion issued shares. Aggregate consideration for these pending-cancellation shares is estimated at about HK$53.44 million based on the disclosed volume-weighted average prices.

Despite the ongoing buy-back activity, the company’s issued share capital remains unchanged at 11.67 billion shares, as cancellations have not yet been processed.

Under the shareholder mandate approved on 25 August 2026, Want Want China is authorised to repurchase up to 1.17 billion shares. Cumulative buybacks under this mandate have reached 81.72 million shares, representing 0.70% of the issued share base at the mandate date. In accordance with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share sales until 7 November 2026.
