During the first two days of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Beijing dispatched approximately 1.483 million railway passengers in total, with 920,000 passengers departing on September 25 and 563,000 on September 26.
On September 27, the holiday ushers in its return peak, with an estimated 768,000 passengers expected to arrive in Beijing by train. The "eight stations and two airports" are safeguarding residents' and travelers' return journeys through measures including extended subway operating hours, increased bus capacity, discounted airport bus fares, and strengthened taxi dispatch.
On September 27, seven lines—Subway Lines 2, 3, 4, 7, 10, 14, and the Daxing Airport Express—will operate as a ring network with extended hours. The Daxing Airport Express will extend service until 11:30 PM, while the remaining six lines will extend operations until 2 AM the following day.
Bus services will increase the frequency of night routes, deploy emergency shuttle buses, and add extra airport buses during nighttime hours. Airport bus routes have launched limited-time discounts, with two airport bus lines operating around the clock.
Meanwhile, taxis will strengthen nighttime "guaranteed point" operations, and ride-hailing services will prioritize dispatching to key stations and airports while activating incentive mechanisms. In the Beijing Railway Station area, taxis have achieved online short-trip order acceptance and intelligent dispatch management, making short-distance connection services more efficient and standardized.
Currently, the intelligent ride-hailing queuing systems and electronic screens at Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing North Railway Station, Beijing Chaoyang Railway Station, Beijing Fengtai Railway Station, and Beijing Tongzhou Railway Station are all in operation.
To ensure passenger travel, Beijing Railway plans to add 86 pairs of passenger trains on September 27, mainly heading to destinations including Harbin, Shenyang, Dalian, Datong, Qingdao, Shanghai, Wuhan, as well as Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, and Qinhuangdao.
Passengers should note in particular that the ride-hailing pickup point at Daxing Airport has been relocated to the new ride-hailing area on the northeast side of the terminal building (formerly the P2 parking garage). Travelers are advised to proceed via Gate 14 on the east side of the terminal's second floor and wait in an orderly manner according to the zone markings and numerical guides at the pickup point.
