MBV International Limited (MBV International) released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report, highlighting progress on near-term targets while committing to carbon neutrality across Scopes 1-3 by 2050.

Environmental Performance • Emissions: Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse-gas emissions fell to 881.58 tCO₂-e (intensity: 0.005 t/RM’000), meeting the 2025 target and down 6.8 % year-on-year. Major air-pollutant output was 378.39 kg of NOx, 2.67 kg of SO₂ and 26.72 kg of PM, all within the target ceiling of 0.002 kg/RM’000 revenue. • Scope 3 disclosure debuted at 17,950.27 tCO₂-e, lifting total emissions to 18,831.85 tCO₂-e. Categories reported include purchased goods, upstream logistics, waste, business travel and employee commuting. • Resources: Energy use declined 7.8 % to 2.40 million kWh (intensity: 12.44 kWh/RM’000). Water consumption eased to 24,212 m³, although the 0.13 m³/RM’000 intensity exceeded the 0.12 target. Solar panels exported 56,753 kWh to the grid, avoiding 36.59 tCO₂-e. • Waste: Non-hazardous waste fell 11.9 % to 25.66 t (intensity: 0.13 kg/RM’000). The group generated no significant hazardous waste.

Governance and Risk Management The board retains ultimate ESG oversight, supported by an ESG Committee spanning finance, HR and procurement. Climate considerations have been embedded in the enterprise-risk framework, with annual scenario analyses based on IPCC SSP1-RCP2.6 and SSP3-RCP8.5 pathways. Key physical risks include flooding and heat stress in Malaysia and Singapore; transition risks focus on tightening emissions regulation and supply-chain compliance.

Social Indicators • Workforce: 455 employees (50.5 % female), all full-time; turnover rate moderated to 25 % (2024: 27.5 %). • Safety: Zero fatalities for the third consecutive year; five reportable injuries led to 41 lost workdays. • Training: 100 % employee coverage; average 3.2 training hours, with women accounting for 75 % of participants. • Supply Chain: 40 key suppliers and subcontractors across Malaysia, China, Bangladesh and other Asian markets undergo annual ESG screening.

Community Engagement MBV International contributed RM234,000 in cash and 7,000 apparel units (valued at RM100,000) to education, cultural heritage and disaster-relief initiatives during the reporting period.

Forward Commitments Beyond the 2050 carbon-neutral pledge, the company will review its rolling two-year intensity benchmarks annually and explore incorporating climate metrics into executive remuneration and capital allocation decisions.
