University-Enterprise Collaboration Ignites Passionate AI Journey: Seven-Year Initiative Reaches New Milestone
Initiated in 2019 by Lenovo Group Ltd. (LNVGY) in partnership with public welfare organizations, the 'Beautiful Holiday' project is a nationwide youth volunteer program.
Over the past seven years, it has mobilized 23,800 university student volunteers to provide assistance in their hometowns during holidays, benefiting over 74,400 rural children.
The program's reach extends across 32 provinces, 292 cities, and 1,030 counties in China, involving more than 1,000 universities, establishing itself as a key platform for student participation in rural revitalization.
In Northeast China, a region where Lenovo Group Ltd. (LNVGY) has been deeply rooted for over three decades, the company has consistently supported regional economic development while focusing on rural education and winter sports, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and injecting warmth and vitality into the local community.
Since its first season in 2019, the 'Beautiful Holiday' program has maintained a strong partnership with Northeastern University, making it one of the universities with the longest and deepest involvement in this public welfare initiative.
During the launch ceremony, witnessed by Northeastern University officials and Wang Chuandong, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Lenovo China, strategic cooperation agreements were signed between the university and the company.
The collaboration will deepen in areas such as technological innovation, talent cultivation, platform development, and academic exchange, aiming to nurture young talent for national strategic needs and marking a new phase in their partnership.
At the event, a representative from Northeastern University highlighted the university's century-long commitment to national development and its emphasis on practical education, with nearly 10,000 students participating in such activities annually.

Technology for Good, Passionate AI on the Field: Illuminating a Broader Future
This year marks the first time Lenovo Group Ltd. (LNVGY) has integrated "AI + Football" into its public welfare activities.
As an official FIFA technology partner, Lenovo aims to bring the excitement of the World Cup alongside AI technology to rural children.
The "Beautiful Package" for volunteers now includes footballs, jerseys, and other equipment for the first time, facilitating the simultaneous introduction of AI courses and football to rural areas.
The volunteer tasks for this season are centered around "Passionate AI." Each volunteer will partner with three children in their hometown, using the Tianxi AI Claw tool to create engaging educational content and gifting three AI popular science books to the children.
They will then form a rural children's football team and organize a "Super Football Tournament for Rural Children." Volunteers are also tasked with documenting their activities via smartphone and using AI software to edit and publish Vlogs, showcasing the vitality of rural children to a wider audience.
From July to August, volunteers will carry out their assistance activities in their hometowns.
The 'Beautiful Holiday' program will also organize special campaigns in multiple regions across the country, collaborating with local universities and media to document stories of AI accessibility and football-related public welfare.
During the September-October back-to-school season, the program will conduct a campus tour across a hundred schools to exhibit the public welfare outcomes.
Outstanding volunteers will be awarded "Beautiful Ambassador" certificates, and their Vlog entries may be selected for inclusion in a "Beautiful Holiday Special Action" story collection for display and evaluation.
The 'Beautiful Holiday' program has continuously deepened its focus on AI education—from sowing the seeds of AI in the ninth season to deepening popular science in the tenth, building an ecosystem in the eleventh, and pioneering an "AI Accessibility + University-Enterprise Co-creation" model in the twelfth.
Now, the 13th season, themed "Passionate AI on the Field," symbolizes both a "passion" for taking to the field and the genuine integration of AI technology into rural classrooms.
Beyond 'Beautiful Holiday,' over half of Lenovo's public welfare projects focus on education, forming a broader and more enduring landscape of charitable initiatives.
Since the beginning of 2025, the "Little Math Seedlings" program has completed two phases of recruitment, covering over 200 rural schools and communities and benefiting approximately 24,000 rural children, with a third phase already launched.
The second phase of the "Green Plum Plan" recruitment is complete, focusing on enhancing the digital literacy and teaching capabilities of rural educators.
The "AI+ Action" initiative has introduced three specialized directions: Children's AI Literacy + Aesthetic Education, Local Education, and General Education.
Additionally, the "Lenovo Refurbished Computer Classroom" project continues its construction in provinces like Guizhou, Hunan, and Sichuan.
The "Lenovo AI Space" project conducted teacher training in locations such as Yuanqu, Shanxi, and Luanping, Hebei, in the autumn of 2025.
The "AI World Together" project, in collaboration with public welfare organizations, has launched artificial intelligence club activities in rural schools in places like Wuchuan, Inner Mongolia, and Miyun, Beijing.
According to the latest released 2025/26 Fiscal Year Environmental, Social, and Governance Report, from 2021 to 2026, Lenovo's public welfare actions have benefited 25 million people, achieving its initial goal of "impacting the lives of 15 million people and changing the lives of 1 million people" ahead of schedule.
In the 2025/26 fiscal year, Lenovo's total community contribution reached $18.49 million, with global employee volunteer hours exceeding 72,000.
Looking ahead, Lenovo has set a new charitable goal: to impact the lives of 30 million people through charitable programs and partnerships by 2030.
As a technology company deeply rooted in China with a global presence, Lenovo Group Ltd. (LNVGY) consistently regards educational public welfare as a core pillar of its corporate social responsibility.
From a single computer and an AI lesson to a rural football match, Lenovo is transforming technological innovation resources into tangible warmth through its continuously evolving actions.
In the future, Lenovo will continue to collaborate with all sectors of society to bring AI education to more rural schools, allowing the light of technology to illuminate the places most in need and the dreams in every child's eyes.
