Prudential plc cancels 252,590 shares and buys back a further 251,634 shares

Prudential plc said it cancelled 252,590 ordinary shares of GBP 0.05 each on Apr, 14 2026, reducing its outstanding share count to about 2.525 billion.

The company also disclosed that it repurchased an additional 251,634 ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange on the same day for cancellation, paying between GBP 10.995 and GBP 11.31 per share. The total consideration was roughly 4.78 million Singapore dollars.

Following these transactions, Prudential’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) stood at 2,525,085,529 ordinary shares as of Apr, 14 2026. The repurchases form part of a mandate approved on May, 14 2025 that allows the company to buy back up to 262.67 million shares; 81.87 million shares have been repurchased under the mandate to date.

The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares until May, 14 2026.
