YZJ Shipbldg SGD's stock surged 6.43% during intraday trading on Wednesday, following positive analyst commentary that boosted investor confidence in the shipbuilder's prospects.

Analysts at CGS International raised their earnings estimates for 2026-2028 by 3.0%-8.0% and increased their target price to S$5.10 from S$4.95, while maintaining an Add rating on the stock. They highlighted that Yangzijiang Shipbuilding shares offer an attractive risk-reward profile with a potential 6.6% dividend yield in 2027.

The analysts noted that robust revenue growth is expected as the company delivers contracts from 2023 and most of 2024, with stronger revenue recognition and gradual capacity expansion at its Hongyuan yard in China supporting future profits.
