Hong Kong Stocks Closed Higher; Mixue Gained 6%; Alibaba And Nio Jumped 3%; Tencent and Baidu Rose 2%

On April 17, 2025, Hong Kong stocks closed with a strong performance across major indices. The Hang Seng Index (HSI) rose by 1.61%, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) gained 1.52%, the Hang Seng Tech Index (HSTECH) climbed 1.90%, and the Hang Seng China-Affiliated Corporations Index (HSCCI) increased by 1.37%.

Mixue gained 6%; Pop Mart, Li Auto, Alibaba and Nio jumped 3%; Tencent, Baidu and Kuaishou rose 2%.

Sector-wise, Hong Kong property stocks showed notable gains. Sunac surged 5.33%, Country Garden rose 4.82%, and CIFI Holdings Group climbed 5.36%. Meanwhile, SaaS concept stocks also performed well, with Kingdee International up 4.06% and Weimob Inc gaining 3.18%.

In individual stock movements, GDS-SW soared 10.99%, leading the market. Many Idea Cloud skyrocketed 25.81%, marking the most significant gain of the day. Newborn Town also saw a sharp increase of 10.74%. On the other hand, Kasen surged 14.29%, and Shimao Group jumped 9.21%, reflecting strong investor interest in the property sector.
