New Ray Medicine International Holding Limited reported interim figures for the six months ended 30 June 2026.

Revenue rose 153.7% year-on-year to HK$113.42 million, driven chiefly by stronger sales of chemical reagents and newly launched injection drugs. Gross profit climbed to HK$9.84 million, lifting the gross margin to 8.68% from 8.13% a year earlier.

The Group narrowed its net loss attributable to owners to HK$3.57 million, a 52.2% improvement versus the HK$7.45 million deficit recorded in the prior-year period. Selling and distribution expenses increased 27.0% to HK$6.32 million, while administrative costs edged up 14.2% to HK$6.85 million. Other losses widened to HK$1.55 million, mainly due to a HK$1.73 million exchange loss.

No interim dividend was declared. The balance sheet showed cash and cash equivalents of HK$73.58 million, compared with HK$29.42 million at year-end 2025, and the Group remained debt-free with a zero gearing ratio. Net cash generated from operating activities reached HK$48.54 million versus an outflow of HK$16.84 million in 1H25.

Segmentally, distribution and trading of pharmaceutical and related products contributed 99.3% of total revenue, surging to HK$112.61 million. Marketing and promotion services delivered HK$0.81 million, down 50.7%.

Management cited nationwide volume-based procurement and pricing pressure in China’s pharmaceutical sector as ongoing challenges but expects to mitigate these through product portfolio diversification, expanded sales channels and further investment in healthcare-related industrial parks.

As of 30 June 2026, equity attributable to owners stood at HK$435.85 million. The Group’s fair-value-through-OCI investments, mainly in Town Health International Medical Group, were valued at HK$38.37 million after a HK$0.83 million fair-value loss during the period. Financial assets at fair value through profit or loss totalled HK$59.58 million, including stakes in two Zhejiang-based healthcare industrial park projects.

There were no material contingent liabilities or post-period events reported. An appeal by the Securities and Futures Commission concerning prior litigation is scheduled for hearing on 22 September 2026.
