Data released on March 20 by the petroleum price system showed that the average price change rate for a basket of crude oils was 46.22% on March 19. According to China's petroleum pricing mechanism, domestic gasoline and diesel prices are adjusted every ten working days based on changes in international crude oil prices, with new prices taking effect at 24:00 on the day the adjustment is announced. If the price adjustment is less than 50 yuan per ton, no change will be made, and the difference will be carried over to the next adjustment period. Under special circumstances specified in the regulations, price adjustments may be suspended, delayed, or implemented with a smaller margin. March 20 marked the ninth working day of the current pricing cycle, with the next price adjustment window scheduled to open at 24:00 on March 23.
