PATEO (02889) has announced that it has received a project designation notice from a leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the new energy vehicle sector. The company has been selected as the supplier for the next-generation model 8397 cockpit platform.

The 8397 platform, based on Qualcomm's fifth-generation cockpit computing system, provides a robust computing foundation capable of supporting advanced capabilities such as multimodal perception and on-device large language model inference. Leveraging this platform, PATEO will develop a new-generation in-vehicle interaction system incorporating physical AI and an integrated vehicle intelligence agent, enabling real-time environmental simulation, proactive mobility services, and natural human-vehicle interaction.

This project designation underscores that PATEO's technical approach—building physical AI and in-vehicle intelligence systems on a high-end cockpit platform—has gained widespread recognition among mainstream automakers.
