Shares of AAC TECH (HKEX: 02018) have surged more than 5% again. As of writing, the stock is up 5.32% to HK$47.9, with a turnover of HK$155 million.
The catalyst for the move is news that on June 15th, the company announced its AI glasses-specific SRG (Surface Relief Grating) diffractive waveguide lenses have successfully passed testing by several leading global terminal customers and secured mass production agreements. Some projects have already entered the volume ramp-up phase, with a window for large-scale shipments anticipated in the second half of 2026.
Huatai Securities previously issued a research note stating that looking ahead to 2026, against the backdrop of accelerated deployment of AI edge hardware, sustained high growth in thermal management, and the scaled shipment of XR optical components, they expect AAC TECH to continue benefiting from the wave of smart hardware upgrades. The firm has raised its target price for the stock to HK$60, maintaining a "Buy" rating.
