Typhoon Shadel Set to Disrupt Operations at 19 Chinese Airports, with Multiple Facilities Halting All Flights

According to the latest typhoon disruption forecast from the Variflight DAST system, as of 8:00 AM on August 28, Typhoon Shadel is expected to impact 19 airports across mainland China, with the affected area projected to move from the Zhejiang coast toward Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, and Guangxi. Ten airports are forecast to be affected today, with operations at seven airports—including Hangzhou Xiaoshan, Wenzhou Longwan, Taizhou Luqiao, Ningbo Lishe, Yiwu, Zhoushan Putuoshan, and Lishui—expected to be disrupted from 2:00 PM onward.

As of 10:00 AM on August 28, data from the Flighty typhoon path and airport impact forecast map shows that Wenzhou Longwan Airport, Zhoushan Putuoshan Airport, Taizhou Luqiao Airport, Lishui Airport, and Ningbo Lishe Airport have no flights currently arriving or departing.
