BIDU-SW (09888) surged nearly 7% during intraday trading. As of press time, the stock was up 5.78% to HK$90.6, with trading volume reaching HK$1.936 billion.

On the news front, Kunlun Chip announced on August 21 through its official WeChat account that the company achieved outstanding results in China Mobile's centralized procurement project for artificial intelligence general computing equipment (inference type) for 2025-2026. According to reports, in the "CUDA-like ecosystem" segment, AI server products based on Kunlun Chip ranked first in winning bid share, securing 70% of the shares in Package 1 and Package 2, and winning the entire share of Package 3. The total contract value exceeded 1 billion RMB.

Public information shows that Kunlun Chip Technology was formerly Baidu's Intelligent Chip and Architecture Department, which has been deeply engaged in the AI acceleration field for more than ten years in actual business scenarios. The company completed independent financing in April 2021, focusing on creating general-purpose AI chips with strong versatility, ease of use, and high performance. It has achieved mass production and large-scale deployment of multiple generations of chip series products. It is reported that Baidu has successfully powered up a 10,000-card cluster based on components from the new generation Kunlun Chip 3.
