Stock Track | Eagers Automotive Plummets 7.92% Intraday as H1 Profit Guidance Disappoints

Eagers Automotive Ltd's stock plummeted 7.92% during intraday trading on Wednesday, as the market reacted negatively to the company's latest financial guidance.

The automotive retailer announced that it expects underlying profit before tax for the first half of 2026 to be in line with, or slightly ahead of, the same period in 2025 across its Australian and New Zealand operations. While the company also projected a second-half uplift in deliveries supported by improved supply through its scaled partnership with Toyota, investors appeared disappointed with the modest growth expectations.

Market analysts suggest that the guidance may have fallen short of investor expectations for more substantial growth, leading to the sharp sell-off during the trading session.
