Logistics management service provider BlueGrace Logistics announced the acquisition of third-party logistics (3PL) company STB Freight Group, with the financial terms undisclosed.
Headquartered in Michigan, STB Freight Group specializes in freight management services for retail, food, automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing clients across North America, with a strong focus on the Midwest. The company operates through a network of over 10,000 carriers, offering dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and expedited freight services.
"This partnership will allow STB’s customers to access our comprehensive logistics management platform, including customized optimization solutions, end-to-end visibility, freight optimization tools, and data analytics across all transportation modes—less-than-truckload (LTL), full truckload, and parcel shipping," said Bobby Harris, Founder and CEO of BlueGrace Logistics, in a statement.
BlueGrace Logistics, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, operates nine offices across the U.S. and Mexico, serving over 10,000 customers. Its BlueShip platform connects with more than 250,000 carriers, providing LTL, full truckload, refrigerated, and intermodal transportation services.
The company is a portfolio business of private equity firm Warburg Pincus.
"This is an exciting step for STB’s customers, who will now benefit from the scale, technology, and resources of a national logistics provider while maintaining the personalized, service-first experience they’ve always valued," said Adam Blankenship, President of BlueGrace Logistics.
