Fuel Prices Set to Rise at the Pump Tonight

Deep News
Aug 28

Domestic fuel prices are scheduled to increase starting tonight, marking a notable adjustment in response to shifting global crude oil market conditions.

Since the last adjustment on August 14th, international crude oil prices have experienced fluctuating trading patterns. The average price calculated over the 10 working days preceding this adjustment exceeded the average recorded during the 10 working days before the previous price change, triggering the current revision.

Effective from 24:00 on August 28th, the benchmark prices for domestic gasoline and diesel will be raised by 375 yuan and 360 yuan per tonne, respectively. This move aligns with the latest trends observed in international energy markets.

PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, along with other crude oil processing enterprises, have been directed to coordinate production and logistics for refined oil products. Their mandate is to ensure a stable market supply and strictly adhere to state pricing policies during this transition.

Meanwhile, local governmental bodies are instructed to intensify market supervision and inspection efforts. Authorities will rigorously penalize any violations of national pricing regulations to uphold orderly market conduct. Consumers who encounter pricing irregularities can file complaints through the 12315 platform, the dedicated channel for reporting such violations.
