Dongjiang Environmental's Hong Kong Shares Surge, A-Shares Hit Limit Up

Shares of Dongjiang Environmental Company Limited (00895) experienced a sharp intraday rally, climbing over 30% at one point. This movement followed the company's A-shares hitting the daily upside limit in afternoon trading.

At the time of writing, the Hong Kong-listed shares were up 20.73%, trading at HK$1.98 with a turnover of HK$193 million.

Public information indicates the company's core operations encompass the resource utilization of industrial waste, industrial waste treatment and disposal, recovery and use of rare and precious metals, municipal waste treatment and disposal, renewable energy utilization, environmental engineering and services, and electronic waste dismantling.

Its resource recovery business primarily produces products such as copper sulfate, basic copper chloride, and copper oxide, alongside metal products including crude lead, refined bismuth, crude silver, refined tellurium, and antimony oxide.
