全美历史最悠久的银行——纽约梅隆银行宣布，其机构客户很快将能通过该行的数字资产平台存储、转移、铸造及销毁Circle Internet Corp.的USDC稳定币。这项新功能计划于七月底前上线，将使得持有USDC的客户在数字资产钱包中更便捷地将美元兑换为稳定币，或将稳定币赎回为美元。
铸造与销毁稳定币，指的是创建新代币和永久销毁现有代币，以管理稳定币流通供应的过程。纽约梅隆银行目前已是USDC主要美元储备的托管方。USDC是全球第二大稳定币，市值高达740亿美元。该行表示，未来计划为其他稳定币发行机构提供类似的服务能力。
