On October 8, news emerged that Wang Jianzhou, former chairman of China Mobile (CHINA MOBILE), wrote an article discussing "AI phones." He stated that even if AI phones resolve all technical issues, they will struggle to gain traction without ecosystem collaboration.
He particularly emphasized that cross-app operations involve many issues such as data flow, privacy protection, and attribution of responsibility, which can only be resolved through cooperation between enterprises.
He noted that there are currently several different implementation paths for AI agents to operate across apps, including: protocol-based direct connection (such as MCP, A2A), GUI (graphical user interface) methods, and others.
Each path contains enormous innovation potential, but regardless of which method is used, it is difficult to truly implement without cooperation between enterprises.
"The most undesirable scenario is: app service providers strengthen risk control mechanisms and close off entry points; AI agents then find ways to bypass such risk controls; then app service providers adopt even stricter risk control measures—and this cycle repeats, falling into a vicious game," Wang Jianzhou pointed out.
The integration of artificial intelligence and the mobile internet brings not only technological upgrades, but also a restructuring of the industry ecosystem landscape, ushering in a new paradigm.
This is both an AI journey that runs through every link of the ecosystem chain, and a symphony that breaks down barriers and promotes symbiotic win-win outcomes for all parties involved.
