On Thursday, NIO Inc. (NIO.US) saw its stock price climb more than 7%, reaching $4.94. The company recently began pushing the version 3.3.0 update to users of its Banyan system, with the most notable feature being the official deployment of the newly upgraded "NIO World Model NWM 2.0." This technological enhancement is initially available to over 460,000 owners of Banyan platform vehicles, including early adopters dating back to the first-generation ET7 model launched in 2021. For the eagerly awaiting user base, the four Orin-X chips have finally achieved a major functional breakthrough, while the adaptation work for the "Cedar" series of models is also in its final stages, with a rollout expected to begin shortly. NIO founder William Li previously stated publicly that three major system updates will be implemented by 2026, and additional investment in cloud training computing power has been specially approved. Through large-scale data training, the system's performance in handling edge cases is expected to see continuous improvement. This upgrade marks a new phase for NIO's intelligent driving technology, representing a critical step forward from the underlying architecture to the actual user experience, though there remains room for optimization before reaching a perfect state.
