On the morning of November 7, POP MART's live stream mishap trended on Weibo.

During the broadcast, two employees were unaware the live session had started. One female staff member, holding a DIMOO keychain blind box priced at 79 yuan, remarked, "Wow, this is really too expensive for 79 yuan." Another colleague responded, "Don’t worry, someone will still buy it." The incident quickly sparked heated discussions online.

By 10:35 AM, POP MART's stock price had fallen over 4% to HK$208. Since August, the company’s shares have been on a downward trend, dropping more than 17% in September and over 16% in October.

POP MART’s live stream team later responded, stating they had taken note of the feedback and were actively investigating the matter. The official customer service confirmed that internal disciplinary actions were being taken against the involved employees but noted no immediate plans to adjust the product’s price.

The product in question is part of POP MART’s newly launched "DIMOO Newborn Diary Series – Keychain Blind Box," priced at 79 yuan per unit or 474 yuan for a full set. Each set includes six regular designs and one hidden variant, with odds of 1:6 for regular items and 1:72 for the hidden piece.

Public records indicate the keychain contains zinc alloy pendants, polyester straps, resin figurines, and glass/acrylic accessories. However, counterfeit versions reportedly cost as little as 4 yuan, while genuine products have faced complaints about paint peeling. The pricing disparity has fueled debate over the product’s actual value.
