Prudential cancels shares after latest London buyback

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 369,491 ordinary shares on Mar, 24 2026, trimming its outstanding share count to 2,529,583,440.

The company also reported that it repurchased another 364,573 shares on Mar, 24 2026 on the London Stock Exchange for future cancellation at prices ranging from GBP 10.565 to GBP 10.755 each, for a total consideration of about GBP 3.9 million. These shares, together with 377,608 shares bought back on Mar, 23 2026, remained to be cancelled as of the same date.

Since the current shareholder mandate was approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential has repurchased approximately 77.6 million shares, equal to about 2.98 % of its share base at that time. Under exchange rules, the company is restricted from issuing new shares for 30 days following the latest repurchase, up to Apr, 23 2026.
