The Inspection and Testing Center of Tongzhou District in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, has successfully undergone an on-site evaluation for the expansion and modification of certain items under the CMA (Comerica) accreditation. The assessment was conducted by an expert panel organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Administration.
During the review, the expert team carried out a comprehensive and multi-dimensional evaluation of the center's management system, staff competence, equipment, facilities, testing methods, quality control, and technical capabilities for the proposed items. The evaluation was based on the "Accreditation Criteria for Inspection and Testing Institutions" and relevant regulations and technical standards, utilizing methods such as presentations, site inspections, document reviews, on-site testing, personnel interviews, and assessments of authorized signatories.
The panel specifically examined the center's testing capabilities in food, agricultural products, textiles, and other fields. Seven parameters were assessed through blind sample testing, and six parameters underwent spike recovery tests, all of which were passed in a single attempt. The center's staff demonstrated standardized and proficient operations, accurate data processing, and timely reporting of results, reflecting strong professional skills and a rigorous work ethic.
Furthermore, the experts conducted a detailed review of the center's quality manual, procedural documents, record forms, internal audits, management reviews, staff training, equipment management, and customer service processes. The center successfully passed the accreditation for modifications to 48 parameters across two major categories and six sub-categories, as well as an expansion to include 24 parameters across two major categories and four sub-categories. Four additional authorized signatories were approved.
The expert panel highly commended the center's overall performance and provided valuable recommendations for further enhancing laboratory management.
