Baidu shares rose more than 3% in Hong Kong.
On November 10, Apollo Go announced that it had received one of the first fully driverless commercial operation licenses issued by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of Abu Dhabi. This marks Apollo Go’s first large-scale, fully driverless public operation outside China.
Apollo Go entered the Abu Dhabi market in March this year, forming a strategic partnership with AutoGo, a UAE-based autonomous mobility company. The two sides plan to deploy Apollo’s sixth-generation driverless vehicles in designated areas and achieve fully driverless operations by 2026.
