Tencent Cloud officially announced today that consumer-grade embodied intelligence brand Qiyuan Robotics has entered into a partnership with Tencent Cloud, marking the formal integration of the Qiyuan Q1 and T1 robots into the WorkBuddy platform. This collaboration makes Qiyuan the first embodied intelligence enterprise to be connected to WorkBuddy.

According to the announcement, WorkBuddy serves as the "brain," excelling in comprehension and reasoning while being capable of orchestrating tens of thousands of cloud-based ecosystem Skills on demand. Qiyuan Robotics, on the other hand, functions as the "body," handling interaction and execution with over a hundred embodied intelligence atomic capabilities already developed. By combining these two elements, WorkBuddy gains an "embodied" presence, acquiring ears, eyes, hands, and feet to enter real-world workplace and daily life scenarios, enabling deep interaction with the physical environment.

According to Tencent Cloud, the integration of WorkBuddy with Qiyuan Robotics plays distinctly different yet equally effective roles in both office and home settings. For instance, in an office environment, it acts as a proactive embodied assistant that delivers tangible results. As a practical example, when a Tencent Meeting is about to begin, WorkBuddy can dispatch a robot to physically remind employees at their workstations and guide them to the corresponding meeting room. Five minutes before the meeting concludes, the Qiyuan robot can raise its hand to signal and provide voice reminders.

Furthermore, through voice interaction with the robot, users can instruct WorkBuddy to generate documents and presentations in the background, complete data analysis and in-depth research tasks, with fully finished deliverables automatically sent to enterprise messaging platforms such as WeChat Work (WeCom) and WeChat.

In home scenarios, it serves as a versatile and approachable embodied companion. Even when users are at the office while the robot remains at home, remote instructions can be issued through WorkBuddy, such as "tell my baby a dinosaur story." WorkBuddy automatically searches and generates story content in the cloud, while the robot shares the story with family members through synchronized gestures and facial expressions. At the story's most exciting moments, the robot even moves and dances enthusiastically, delivering warm companionship across physical distances.

Tencent Cloud stated that the combination of WorkBuddy and Qiyuan Robotics represents a solid step forward for AI agents entering the physical world. With the recent official launch of the WorkBuddy open platform, and as more developers and ecosystem partners join, WorkBuddy is set to integrate deeply with both hardware and software, becoming a productive intelligent partner across various industries.
