BAIJIN LIFE SCI Shares Surge Over 60% Following Strategic Collaboration in Clinical Cell Therapy

Shares of BAIJIN LIFE SCI (01466) have surged more than 60%. At the time of writing, the stock is up 50%, trading at HK$0.93 with a turnover of HK$12.29 million.

The significant movement follows a recent company announcement. The firm's indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary, Beijing Baijin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Beijing Baijin), has entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Fuyao Yuanqi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Fuyao Yuanqi). This agreement pertains to strategic collaboration within the clinical cell therapy field.

Fuyao Yuanqi's core technology originates from the commercialization of scientific research achievements from leading Chinese higher education and research institutions. The company has established specialized technology transfer cooperation arrangements and has secured exclusive licensing for related patents. Fuyao Yuanqi also possesses experience in filing for clinical cell drug research.

Previously, Beijing Baijin, the indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary of BAIJIN LIFE SCI, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Youhuan (Suzhou) Biopharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. (Youhuan Bio). Under this agreement, Beijing Baijin will invest in Youhuan Bio by subscribing to its equity. The aim is to establish a globally leading circular RNA (circRNA) technology research and development platform and, by leveraging this platform, to deepen technological innovation in the cell therapy sector.
