GenScript Biotech Sees HK$2.62 Billion in Shares Deposited as Major Shareholder Moves 39.31 Million Stocks to Citibank

According to the latest data from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, a notable position change was recorded for GenScript Biotech (01548) on September 15, with deposited shares reaching a total market value of HK$2.624 billion, representing 3.51% of the company's issued shares.

The company's shareholder has placed 39.31 million shares into Citibank, increasing their stake by 1.79%. Concurrently, GenScript Biotech announced that the board is pleased to confirm all conditions under the placing agreement have been fulfilled, with completion having taken place on September 15, 2026, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the agreement.

A total of 77.126 million placing shares—equivalent to approximately 3.50% of the company's issued share capital immediately prior to the completion of the placing, and roughly 3.38% of the enlarged issued share capital immediately following the allotment and issuance of the placing shares—were successfully placed with no fewer than six placees at a placing price of HK$30.50 per share.
