Insilico Medicine (03696) climbed as much as 6% during trading hours, and as of the latest update, the stock was up 4.87% to HK$52.75, with turnover reaching HK$285 million.

On the news front, the company's experimental drug, Rentosertib, developed for treating pulmonary diseases, has demonstrated promising results in reversing biomarkers of biological aging. According to research findings, patients experienced a reduction in biological age of up to six years, as assessed by a proteomics-based aging clock. The drug has now entered Phase III clinical trials.

Citi notes that Insilico Medicine remains its top pick in the AI-driven drug discovery (AIDD) subsector. It is worth highlighting that the AI pharma space has seen a flurry of catalysts recently, with GenScript Biotech announcing a collaboration with Eli Lilly's AI drug discovery platform, Lilly TuneLab, and Novo Nordisk also revealing a partnership with Anthropic to accelerate new drug discovery.

China Merchants Securities points out that the industry is transitioning from algorithm-centric narratives to pipeline value, signaling that clinical validation and the commercialization breakthrough for AI pharma are imminent.
