分析师们认为，沃尔玛拥有两条缓解压力的途径：一是超过20亿美元的关税退款，其中部分款项已开始到账；二是持续下跌的柴油价格。这两大因素应能为公司提供一定缓冲。
"最重要的是，对消费者而言，通缩定价似乎已变得非常必要。然而，公司如此果断的行动，也表明全行业的竞争环境正变得日益激烈，"分析师们评论道。"没有人愿意在价格上与沃尔玛正面交锋。"
