As an important carrier of commercial functions for Beijing's sub-center, the Canal Commercial District is expected to release 750,000 square meters of office space over the next three years, building a diversified and multi-chain industrial ecosystem focusing on headquarters economy, wealth management, green finance, and financial technology. A 275-meter-tall commercial building will also be constructed in the five-river confluence area.
The Canal Commercial District is located at the northern end of the thousand-year-old Grand Canal and the eastern end of the hundred-li Chang'an Street, with a total planned area of 20.38 square kilometers, including the core startup area, the new city financial service park, and the comprehensive transportation hub area of the sub-center station.
Enterprises settling in the Canal Commercial District can enjoy policies from the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the National Comprehensive Demonstration Zone for Expanding Opening-up in the Service Industry, and the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone.
