On August 7, HANSOH PHARMA rose 3.6% in regular trading, trading at HK$32.82/share, with turnover of HK$330 million. The gain was driven by news that the company's self-developed Class 1 new drug HS-10582 tablet received a clinical trial approval notice from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).

According to company filings dated August 6, HS-10582 is intended for clinical trials in the treatment of adult primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, marking a new addition to Hansoh's cardiovascular-metabolic pipeline. The board stated that clinical trials will proceed in accordance with regulatory requirements, with progress to be disclosed in due course.

The approval follows a series of recent pipeline milestones, including the Phase 3 success of HS-20093 in both osteosarcoma and small cell lung cancer, as well as clinical trial approvals for HS-20136-2 injection in type 2 diabetes and weight management. CLSA recently maintained an Outperform rating with a raised target price of HK$42, forecasting five new drug approvals for Hansoh next year.
