Standard Chartered PLC (SC) continued its 2026 share-buy-back programme on 1 June, purchasing 742,984 ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price (VWAP) of 2,000.7186 pence. The transaction represents an outlay of approximately £20.20 million.
The repurchases were executed across three venues: • London Stock Exchange: 445,910 shares at a VWAP of 2,000.6910 pence (price range: 1,984–2,017 pence). • CBOE BXE: 149,000 shares at a VWAP of 2,000.7722 pence (price range: 1,983–2,017 pence). • CBOE CXE: 148,074 shares at a VWAP of 2,000.7478 pence (price range: 1,983–2,017 pence).
Including these purchases, SC has now deployed US$1.20 billion under the buy-back mandate first announced on 24 February 2026. All shares acquired will be cancelled, reducing the company’s issued share capital to 2,201,604,188 ordinary shares, which will also represent the total number of voting rights.
