Wuxi National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone has been officially included in the first national list of high-standard digital park construction targets, as announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The national selection process identified 53 comprehensive parks and 38 "parks within parks" across the country, with Wuxi's zone earning a coveted spot on the prestigious roster.
Since the start of this year, the Wuxi High-Tech Zone has been strategically focused on its "3+2+X" modern industrial cluster, leveraging targeted investment attraction to build momentum for sustained growth. This approach has delivered a triple breakthrough in major project recruitment—excelling in project quantity, project scale, and project quality simultaneously.
From January through August, the zone successfully attracted a total of 18 major industrial projects each valued at over 1 billion yuan, representing a combined investment exceeding 94.5 billion yuan. The performance in attracting major and mega-projects has placed the zone among the top performers citywide, showcasing its competitive edge in the regional economic landscape.
In the integrated circuit sector, which stands as the zone's flagship industry, seven projects exceeding 1 billion yuan each have been launched this year, with total investments surpassing 62 billion yuan. The entire industrial chain—from core materials to chip manufacturing and packaging testing—is accelerating its comprehensive layout, reinforcing the zone's position as a national leader in this critical technology sector.
The artificial intelligence and computing power sector is also advancing rapidly under the guidance of the "AI+" initiative, with the zone building out a full pipeline from computing infrastructure to intelligent terminal applications. The Muxi Yangtze River Delta Ecological Innovation Center and domestic 10,000-card computing cluster project, with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan, has officially been signed and settled in the zone. This landmark project will establish Jiangsu Province's first fully domestic 10,000-card AI computing center. Additionally, the nation's first dedicated computing power equipment industrial park has been inaugurated in the zone, with its Phase I project now officially under construction.
Beyond these core sectors, the zone is also driving coordinated development across diverse industries including optical communication and optoelectronics, biomedicine, and intelligent connected vehicles. A steady stream of leading foreign-invested enterprises and industry benchmark projects are choosing to establish operations here, further diversifying the zone's industrial base and strengthening its position as a hub for innovation and advanced manufacturing.
