迪士尼计划收购WEBTOON Entertainment的股份，双方正准备创建一个新的数字平台，该平台将汇集这家娱乐巨头旗下的各类漫画品牌，包括漫威和星球大战。
两家公司周一表示，已签署了一份不具约束力的条款清单，用于开发这个新平台，该平台将收录目前连载的漫画以及来自迪士尼旗下数十年的经典漫画作品。
此次合作的同时，迪士尼签署了一份不具约束力的条款清单，拟收购Webtoon 2%的股权，但两家公司尚未达成最终协议。
这一进展发生在迪士尼上月宣布达成一项协议之后，该协议将其近100部经典漫画和新的在线系列上线Webtoon的网络漫画平台，并为适应Webtoon的移动垂直滚动格式进行调整。
现在，Webtoon将为迪士尼的超过35,000部漫画建立并运营一个新平台，用户可通过一次订阅访问这些内容，且包含垂直和传统两种格式。
两家公司表示，新平台将致力于广泛分发，部分漫画还将针对Webtoon的韩国和日本平台进行本地化。
盘后交易中，Webtoon股价飙升75%，至26.20美元。
