High Court nullifies arbitration award in GuocoLand subsidiary dispute

GuocoLand (Malaysia) Berhad (GUOCO) said its wholly-owned unit, GLM Emerald Hills (Cheras) Sdn Bhd, succeeded in an application to the Kuala Lumpur High Court to set aside an arbitration award dated Jun, 16 2025 that had been granted in favour of Barisan Performa Sdn Bhd.

The court heard the subsidiary’s setting-aside motion together with Barisan Performa’s bid to enforce the award on Jan, 23 2026. In its ruling on Jan, 29 2026, the High Court allowed GLM Emerald Hills’ application and dismissed Barisan Performa’s enforcement request.

GuocoLand disclosed the outcome in a filing dated Jan, 29 2026.
