Baidu Group-SW (09888) surged nearly 5% in Hong Kong trading, climbing 4.73% to HK$91.85 at press time with turnover reaching HK$171 million. The rally follows Apollo Go's strategic partnership announcement with Uber – the world's largest mobility platform – on July 15. This collaboration will extend Apollo Go's autonomous ride-hailing services to multiple international markets beyond mainland China and the United States. Under the agreement, thousands of Apollo Go driverless vehicles will integrate into Uber's global mobility network, delivering accessible and reliable autonomous transportation to users worldwide. Baidu founder Robin Li described the alliance as a critical milestone in Apollo Go's global autonomous vehicle deployment, emphasizing their joint commitment to providing safe, efficient mobility solutions across continents. Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi highlighted Uber's unique capacity to rapidly scale Apollo Go's self-driving technology globally, leveraging its position as the planet's dominant mobility platform.
