On May 21st, Chagee Holdings Limited introduced four new "Wander Series" global tea blend beverages. Concurrently, the brand announced the initial launch of its new Geelato (tea gelato) category across nine stores in five major cities.
By 2025, Chagee's annual tea procurement volume is projected to stabilize at a scale of tens of thousands of tons. This sourcing covers the core producing regions of China's six major tea categories and involves partnerships with over 100 tea factories.
Since the beginning of this year, tea-based specialty beverages have become a key focus for Chagee's product innovation. By combining seasonal ingredients and regional flavors with various tea bases, the brand has consistently launched limited-edition offerings. As of May this year, Chagee has released a total of 13 tea blend products.
On the same day, Chagee announced the locations for the first batch of Geelato stores. They are situated in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, and Wuhan, comprising nine stores in total. These include locations in Shanghai's Qiantan Park Alley, Wujiang Road, Henderson Metropolis, Super Brand Mall, and Wukang Road, as well as Shenzhen's Bao'an Yifang City flagship store, Beijing's Chaoyang Hopson One shopping center store, Chengdu's Chunxi Road store, and the Hubei Provincial Museum-themed store in Wuhan's Xintiandi block. All stores are strategically positioned in core commercial districts and near city landmarks.
The initial Geelato product lineup features ten flavors, including "Boyajuexian," "A Touch of Mountain Moon," and "Yun Jiao Caramel," along with three Geelato tea beverages. During the recent Labor Day holiday period, Geelato was first trialed at the Shanghai Wukang Road store, contributing to a significant month-over-month increase in that single location's performance.
