During the peak foreign trade export season, China's coastal ports are experiencing intense activity. On National Day, Qingdao Port maintained high-tempo operations with over 80 large vessels berthed simultaneously, operating at full capacity across production berths. Nearly 5,000 employees remained at their posts, upholding the tradition of "celebrating outside the port while working hard inside," ensuring the smooth operation of logistics arteries and stabilizing global industrial and supply chains.

At the container terminal, more than 20 container ships from European, Mediterranean, Southeast Asian, and Central/South American routes operated simultaneously. Eight vessels with capacities exceeding 8,000 TEU were handled, carrying electrical machinery, light industrial products, "new three categories" goods, and agricultural products destined for global markets. Multiple routes achieved new efficiency and volume records.

During operations of the "Maersk Edirne" on the Central/South American route, Qingdao Port optimized operational rhythm and machinery allocation, setting three new records: single-vessel efficiency of 35 natural moves per hour, single-voyage handling volume of 13,400 TEU, and berth efficiency of 205 natural moves per hour. This significantly improved cargo turnover speed for the Central/South American route.

Simultaneously, the "CMA CGM Captain Santiago" achieved an impressive 7,200 TEU loading performance, setting a new volume record for the Africa route and further enhancing China-Africa trade connectivity.

As a crucial maritime link for China-Europe trade, the "Mayen Maersk" primarily carried export goods including fresh food and cross-border e-commerce cold chain products, requiring strict time efficiency and temperature monitoring. Qingdao Port developed specialized operational procedures, assigned experienced crews, and maintained real-time temperature monitoring of refrigerated containers. The 417 natural moves cold container export task was completed in just 5 hours, preserving cargo freshness and establishing a new single-voyage cold container export volume record for Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal in 2025, creating an efficient and stable logistics bridge for China-Europe cold chain trade.

During the holiday period, Qingdao Port will welcome multiple 24,000 TEU container vessels, launching a comprehensive "production campaign." Staff will continue embodying the spirit of "pursuing excellence in all endeavors," delivering greater value to shipowners and cargo owners through more efficient vessel scheduling, precise cargo handling, and customized services, contributing to high-quality trade development and serving the new development framework.
