但分析师向客户强调："长达45天的亚洲航运周期意味着，即便美国即刻出口战略储备原油，最早也要到五月中旬才能运抵亚洲需求地。"此前美国、日本等国宣布将联合释放约4亿桶战略储备。Energy Aspects报告补充道："释放速率更为关键，这些储量无法一次性投放市场。"数据显示，历史上最高每日130万桶的释放规模，尚不足当前供应缺口的十分之一。
