A student practice team from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Northeast Forestry University, named the "Donglin Ji Run Yulong, Qingjin Fang Cui Liming" practice group, conducted a social practice activity in Liming Township from July 21 to 25. The initiative, coordinated and supported throughout by the Yulong County Communist Youth League Committee, aims to strengthen the promotion of the national common language and script, consolidate the sense of community of the Chinese nation, and support the rural revitalization strategy by assisting in the standardization of language in ethnic regions.

The national common language and script serves as a vital carrier of cultural heritage and a bond of ethnic unity. Leveraging their background in mechanical and electrical engineering, the team conducted in-depth visits to forestry and grassland departments, grassroots communities, and emergency rescue teams, focusing on the development of forestry mechanization. Throughout their research, they integrated Mandarin promotion activities, planting the seeds of language standardization on the front lines of the forest areas and fulfilling their mission of revitalizing forestry for the nation through practical actions.

The team skillfully combined Mandarin promotion with the dissemination of forestry knowledge during their visits to the villages of Liming Township. Recognizing that some villagers had difficulty understanding technical manuals written in Mandarin and had limited knowledge of standardized forestry terminology, the team members used standard Mandarin to explain understory economic policies and scientific cultivation concepts item by item. They translated professional terms like "forestry machinery" and "added value of understory products" into language that the local people could easily understand. The team also created illustrated promotional materials for Mandarin promotion, which were distributed alongside forestry knowledge questionnaires, guiding villagers to appreciate the practical value of the national common language while learning about ecological protection.

In this multi-ethnic area of Liming Township, smooth language communication is the prerequisite for technology implementation, and standardized written language is the guarantee for effective policy enforcement. Although the promotion of Mandarin may seem intangible, it directly impacts whether forestry science and technology achievements can truly reach the fields and whether ecological enrichment policies can effectively reach the grassroots. When villagers can accurately understand Mandarin technical materials and people from all ethnic groups can communicate smoothly through a unified language, the knowledge barriers to forestry modernization are broken down. This, in turn, strengthens the emotional bonds of ethnic unity. Taking Mandarin promotion as a guide is essential for the effective transmission of forestry technology, industry information, and scientific concepts, building a solid communication foundation for green development in mountainous areas.

Looking ahead, the Yulong County Communist Youth League Committee will continue to expand the scope of university-local cooperation, inviting more university practice teams to Yulong. They plan to integrate Mandarin promotion services into various activities such as technical outreach, cultural benefits for the people, and volunteer assistance. This effort seeks to unite and lead young students to use their voices to spread the standard language, use their youthful energy to build communication bridges, and write a youthful answer worthy of the times in the grand journey of empowering rural revitalization through Mandarin promotion.
