Xiabuxiabu (00520) has announced its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reporting a total loss attributable to shareholders of RMB 35.99 million, marking a substantial 57.2% decrease compared to the previous corresponding period.

During the reporting period, the group generated revenue of RMB 1.493 billion, representing a year-on-year decline of 23.13%. The loss per share stood at RMB 3.42 cents. The reduction in revenue was primarily attributed to a decrease in the number of group-operated restaurants and the prevailing trend of consumption downgrading, with revenue falling 23.1% from RMB 1.942 billion recorded in the first half of 2025.

The company's flagship hotpot business experienced a revenue decline of 19.8%, dropping to RMB 911 million from RMB 1.135 billion in the prior year's first half. Meanwhile, the Coucou business segment saw a more pronounced contraction, with revenue decreasing by 31.0% to RMB 514 million, down from RMB 745 million in the corresponding period of 2025.

The seasoning products segment maintained relative stability, with sales revenue declining slightly by 2.4% to RMB 46 million from RMB 47.2 million in the first six months of 2025.

Throughout 2026, the group has intensified its innovative marketing initiatives, achieving positive outcomes in brand value enhancement and customer acquisition. During the first half of the year, the gift card business generated sales exceeding RMB 330 million, with over 860,000 cards sold. Additionally, the company welcomed more than 1.2 million new members during the reporting period, with gift card members demonstrating an average spending of RMB 342 per person, significantly surpassing the overall member average. These strategic efforts have not only strengthened member loyalty and repeat purchase intent but also established sustainable growth momentum for the group's long-term development.
