According to the disclosure, industrial enterprises above designated size generated 926.7 billion kWh of electricity in July, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.1%, with the growth rate accelerating by 1.4 percentage points compared to June. Daily average power generation reached 29.89 billion kWh.
For the January-July period, industrial enterprises above designated size generated 5,470.3 billion kWh of electricity, up 1.3% year-on-year. Excluding calendar effects, daily average power generation increased by 1.8% year-on-year.
By energy type, July saw accelerated growth in thermal power, wind power, and solar power generation among industrial enterprises above designated size, while hydropower decline expanded and nuclear power growth slowed. Specifically, thermal power generation increased by 4.3% year-on-year, with growth accelerating by 3.2 percentage points from June. Hydropower generation declined by 9.8%, with the decline widening by 5.8 percentage points from June. Nuclear power generation grew by 8.3%, with growth slowing by 2.0 percentage points from June. Wind power generation increased by 5.5%, with growth accelerating by 2.3 percentage points from June. Solar power generation surged by 28.7%, with growth accelerating by 10.4 percentage points from June.
**Energy Production Status for July 2025**
In July, industrial enterprises above designated size saw a decline in raw coal production, steady growth in crude oil production, and accelerated growth in natural gas and electricity production.
**Raw Coal, Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production**
Raw coal production declined. In July, industrial enterprises above designated size produced 380 million tons of raw coal, down 3.8% year-on-year, with daily average production of 12.29 million tons. For January-July, raw coal production reached 2.78 billion tons, up 3.8% year-on-year.
Crude oil production maintained steady growth. July crude oil production by industrial enterprises above designated size reached 18.12 million tons, up 1.2% year-on-year, with growth slowing by 0.2 percentage points from June. Daily average production was 585,000 tons. For January-July, crude oil production totaled 126.6 million tons, up 1.3% year-on-year.
Crude oil processing accelerated. In July, industrial enterprises above designated size processed 63.06 million tons of crude oil, up 8.9% year-on-year, with growth accelerating by 0.4 percentage points from June. Daily average processing reached 2.034 million tons. For January-July, crude oil processing totaled 424.68 million tons, up 2.6% year-on-year.
Natural gas production growth accelerated. July natural gas production by industrial enterprises above designated size reached 21.6 billion cubic meters, up 7.4% year-on-year, with growth accelerating by 2.8 percentage points from June. Daily average production was 700 million cubic meters. For January-July, natural gas production totaled 152.5 billion cubic meters, up 6.0% year-on-year.
**Power Generation Status**
Industrial power generation growth accelerated.
