Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank (CQRC BANK) released its 2026 interim results, highlighting steady expansion and stronger asset quality for the six months ended 30 June 2026.
Revenue and Profitability • Operating income climbed 7.78 % year-on-year to RMB 15.88 billion, driven by a 15.20 % surge in net interest income to RMB 13.53 billion. • Net profit reached RMB 8.34 billion, up 6.32 %. • Net interest margin improved 6 basis points to 1.66 %, while the cost-to-income ratio tightened 273 basis points to 23.86 %. • Net non-interest income fell 21.35 % to RMB 2.35 billion, reflecting lower trading-related gains.
Balance-Sheet Expansion • Total assets rose 7.35 % from end-2025 to RMB 1.79 trillion. • Customer loans increased 5.95 % to RMB 844.75 billion; customer deposits expanded 5.86 % to RMB 1.09 trillion. • The loan-to-deposit ratio stood at 77.57 %, marginally higher than December 2025.

Capital and Liquidity • Capital adequacy ratio was 14.07 % (-39 bps versus end-2025); core tier 1 capital adequacy ratio was 12.33 % (-34 bps). • Leverage ratio registered 7.94 %. • Liquidity coverage ratio measured 343.90 %.
Business Mix • Retail banking contributed 42.31 % of operating income, corporate banking 34.25 %, and financial markets 23.12 %. • Technology finance loans reached RMB 107.42 billion (+RMB 16.52 billion YTD); green loan book grew RMB 5.72 billion to RMB 88.54 billion. • Agricultural loans stood at RMB 270.01 billion, while inclusive small-and-micro enterprise loans totaled RMB 145.50 billion.
Dividends • A 2025 final dividend of RMB 0.11755 per share (RMB 1.34 billion total) was paid in June 2026. The board is authorised to formulate a 2026 interim dividend plan, details pending.
Corporate Actions • CQRC BANK completed the disposal of its 90 % stake in Jiangsu Zhangjiagang CQRC Village & Township Bank in July 2026. • The board has approved a plan to merge five wholly owned Yunnan village and township bank subsidiaries, subject to regulatory approval.
