The yield on Japan's 10-year government bond briefly climbed 5 basis points to 2.87% following a lackluster auction result for the benchmark debt.

Japanese government bond futures also fell, momentarily dropping 34 ticks to 126.37, reflecting the market's disappointment with the tepid demand seen in the bond sale, which registered the weakest level of interest since May 2025.
