HELENS (09869) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2025, reporting revenue of RMB 291 million, representing a 34.02% decrease compared to the same period last year. Shareholders' profit amounted to RMB 50.331 million, down 27.77% year-over-year. Basic earnings per share were RMB 0.04, and the company proposed an interim dividend of RMB 0.1051 per share.
According to the announcement, the revenue decline was primarily attributed to a reduction in the number of existing stores (both directly-operated pubs and franchised partner pubs) compared to the same period last year, as well as a decrease in same-store daily sales. The decline in franchise business revenue was mainly due to increased revenue from product sales to "Hi Beer Partner" pubs being offset by decreased revenue from franchise services provided to franchised partner pubs and "Hi Beer Partner" pubs.
In the first half of 2025, the Group's total store network expanded from 560 stores at the beginning of 2025 to 580 stores as of June 30, 2025, and further increased to 583 stores by August 26, 2025. The existing store network, including directly-operated stores and franchised partner pub stores, has stabilized, while the Hi Beer Partner store network continues to expand.
In May 2025, the Group restarted its directly-operated store expansion plan through two approaches: opening new stores in new markets and reopening renovated stores in existing markets. This strategy aims to upgrade store environments, enhance customer experience, reduce store rental and labor costs, and ultimately improve store operational performance. Currently, 10 stores have opened or are scheduled to open soon. Moving forward, as the Group continues to open new directly-operated stores, the directly-operated network is expected to gradually expand again.
As of August 26, 2025, the Group operates 583 pubs globally, including 3 stores in Singapore, 1 store in Japan, 1 store in Hong Kong, and 578 pubs across 32 provincial-level administrative regions and 283 cities in mainland China.
