On November 27, Haier Electronics inaugurated its freezer manufacturing plant in Indonesia. With an annual planned capacity of 1 million units, this facility marks another milestone in Haier Smart Home's localization strategy and digital transformation, while heralding a new chapter of "rooted in Indonesia, serving the world."
The new plant has a clear mission: to become a "low-cost, high-efficiency, high-quality" horizontal freezer production base. From facility design to production line layout, every aspect prioritizes efficiency. Through localized distribution and modular production, the plant's freezers will maintain premium quality while achieving 5% cost advantages over market alternatives. This smart manufacturing system exemplifies Haier Smart Home's overseas digital transformation, passing cost savings to consumers.
From inception, the plant adopts a global vision. Its 1-million-unit annual capacity will not only serve local households and businesses but also supply North America, Southeast Asia, and Middle East-Africa markets, bringing "Made in Indonesia" premium freezers worldwide.
Since entering Indonesia in 2012, Haier Smart Home has deeply integrated with local development. Beyond manufacturing, this plant serves as a community platform—creating over 1,000 jobs, providing skills training, and implementing solar technology to build a sustainable green factory.
From appliances to smart manufacturing, Haier's Indonesian journey vividly demonstrates its deepening localization and digital transformation, scripting a new narrative of "Indonesian craftsmanship, global enjoyment" for users worldwide.
