Hong Kong—9 October 2026—Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (Datang Power) has signed a capital increase agreement with its controlling shareholder China Datang Corporation Ltd. (CDC) and China Datang Corporation Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (Datang Nuclear) to strengthen the latter’s balance sheet and fund ongoing nuclear developments.

Under the agreement, Datang Power will contribute RMB627.74 million in cash, while CDC will inject RMB941.62 million, maintaining their respective 40% and 60% equity stakes in Datang Nuclear. The registered capital of Datang Nuclear will rise from RMB4.71 billion to RMB6.28 billion. Following completion, Datang Power’s cumulative investment in Datang Nuclear will reach RMB2.51 billion; CDC’s cumulative outlay will total RMB3.77 billion.

Proceeds are earmarked for four projects: • Liaoning Xudabao Nuclear Power Project: RMB740.71 million • Fujian Ningde Phase II Nuclear Power Project: RMB562.95 million • Liaoning Zhuanghe Phase I Project: RMB159.90 million • Guangdong Yangxi Nuclear Power Project: RMB105.80 million

Datang Nuclear, established in 2013, reported losses of RMB24.20 million in 2024 and RMB18.98 million in 2025. As of 30 June 2026, the company held total assets of RMB4.70 billion and net assets of RMB4.70 billion.

The capital injection, financed by Datang Power’s internal resources, is scheduled to be completed by 30 November 2026. Management states the move will boost Datang Nuclear’s capital adequacy, enhance risk resilience and accelerate construction across its nuclear portfolio.

Regulatory Perspective: Because CDC controls approximately 53.04% of Datang Power’s issued share capital, the transaction is classified as a connected transaction under Hong Kong Listing Rules. With applicable percentage ratios exceeding 0.1% but below 5%, the deal requires announcement and reporting but is exempt from independent shareholder approval and does not constitute a discloseable transaction.
