随着全球资金继续削减仓位，韩国股市基准指数大幅下跌。周五，韩国综合股价指数（KOSPI）在短暂触及8000点这一里程碑后随即掉头下挫，跌幅约为5%。海外投资者延续了此前的抛售势头，主要集中减持科技类股票。KOSPI指数中的科技板块首当其冲，净流出资金超过25亿美元。
三星电子和SK海力士——这两家公司贡献了今年KOSPI指数约80%的涨幅——周五股价均下跌逾7%。尽管如此，自年初以来，它们的股价仍已翻了一倍以上。作为SK海力士的关联公司，SK Square Co.股价也暴跌超过5%，进一步加剧了该指数的跌幅。First Eagle投资组合经理Christian Heck表示：“尽管从盈利角度来看，KOSPI指数的估值仍低于美国主要股指，但若与其自身的历史水平相比，其估值已显得昂贵。更关键的一点在于，KOSPI在很大程度上已演变成了一场‘押注’，市场押注于该指数中权重合计约占半壁江山的这两家大型存储半导体公司。”
