Shares of HORIZONROBOT-W (HKEX: 09660) have surged close to 7% during the trading session. At the time of writing, the stock is up 6.97% to HK$4.76, with a turnover of HK$1.348 billion.

The company recently announced its forecast for the first half of 2026, projecting revenue from continuing operations to be between RMB 19.3 billion and RMB 20.8 billion. This represents a year-on-year increase of 24.8% to 34.5%. Notably, the upper end of this guidance exceeds the market's general expectation of approximately 25% to 30% growth, indicating a performance that surpasses consensus estimates.

This revenue growth is primarily attributed to increases across both of its key business segments: product solutions, and licensing and services.

Concurrently, the company's profitability metrics remain robust. It expects gross profit from continuing operations for the first half to reach between RMB 11.6 billion and RMB 13.7 billion, corresponding to a gross margin of approximately 60% to 66%.

Analyst Perspectives on Value

Analysts suggest the market has not yet fully priced in the company's leading capabilities in both hardware and software. UBS believes the market has not adequately recognized Horizon Robotics' leadership in these integrated areas.

CMB International previously highlighted several catalysts for the company. In the medium term, these include securing more design wins for its integrated cockpit and driving solutions as its delivery capabilities improve, and the successful mass production of its next-generation computing platform by 2027 to complete its product portfolio.

Longer-term catalysts are seen as the potential subscription-based revenue model, progress in Robotaxi development, and new growth avenues such as embodied AI, which could collectively elevate the company's valuation benchmark.
